Zooplankton Distribution in Apalachicola Bay
November 12 @ 3:00 pm - 4:00 pm
Zooplankton play an integral role in coastal food webs. They are an important food source for many organisms and serve as a link between primary producers and higher-level consumers. To fully understand this linkage, more information is needed on zooplankton community structure, distribution, and response to environmental conditions. In 2016, a long-term monitoring project was initiated to begin characterizing the zooplankton communities of Apalachicola Bay. Sam will share information on spatial and temporal distribution patterns observed in these communities over a two-year period (2018-2019).
Registration information coming soon.
