What are fungi and what distinguishes them from the plants and animals we readily recognize? What exactly is a mushroom?  What role does it play in the life history of its species? Dr. Tom Dolan will present a bit of background on the Kingdom Fungi before focusing on mushrooms\, including their structure\, function\, and diversity of forms.
